Handmade pasta and Sunday sauce on the Square since 1968.

Benvenuti a tavola

Pasta rolled by hand every afternoon, a red sauce that simmers for six hours and a dining room that has hosted
more first dates, anniversaries and christening dinners than anyone can count.

From Florence to the Square

Lucia Benedetti grew up in the hills above Florence and came to Marietta in 1964 with a rolling pin in her suitcase.
Four years later she opened a twelve-table trattoria on the Square and cooked every night until she was 81.

Her grandson Paolo runs the kitchen now. The tagliatelle is still cut by hand, the sauce still starts at ten in the
morning, and Lucia's tiramisu is still made in her old enamel pan.
